BoM to issue ‘Mazaalai’ gold coin

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ This year, the Bank of Mongolia (BoM)
will issue ‘Mazaalai’ gold coin with a millesimal fineness of 999 and a face
value of MNT 1000.
With the issuance of this coin, the Mongolian Wildlife
Protection series launched by BoM in 2007 will be concluded.
Mazaalai or Gobi Bear, one of the most endangered species,
lives only in Mongolian Gobi desert and it is estimated that only around 30
Mazaalais are left in the world.
