4th Mongolia-China deputy ministerial working group meeting held
SocietyUlaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ The fourth meeting of the deputy
ministerial working group between Mongolia and China was held in Beijing on December
10-12. The meeting biennially takes place under the Cooperative Agreement on
Import and Export Food Safety concluded by the two countries in 2009. Deputy
Minister of Food, Agriculture and Light Industry of Mongolia J.Saule and Vice
Minister and CPC Committee Member of the General Administration of Customs of China
(GACC) Li Guo co-chaired the meeting.

Administration of Quality Supervision, Inspection and Quarantine of China have been transmitted
to GACC. As for Mongolia, some veterinary quarantine functions were transferred
to the Veterinary and Animal Breeding Agency.

oil-plants, barley, cereals and wheat to China, and transporting wheat by
vehicles as well as increasing the number of border checkpoints. Moreover, a
working group on risk assessment of China was tasked to work in Mongolia prior
to consulting on quarantine conditions for exporting milk, dairy products,
horse by-products as well as rye and wheat products from Mongolia.
The parties also agreed to actively cooperate under the
memorandum concluded last year between the two countries on exporting meat and meat products to
third countries through territories of one another. The meeting
released a protocol that contains issues of further cooperation.
