Anti-corruption authority elected as steering group representative of ARIN-AP

Corruption of Mongolia
(IAAC) has been elected as one of the nine steering group representatives of the Asset
Recovery Interagency Network - Asia Pacific (ARIN-AP).
Apart from Mongolia, the steering group comprises of United
Nations Office on Drugs and Crime, Camden Asset Recovery Inter-Agency Network,
Australia, New Zealand, South Korea, Japan, Thailand and Indonesia as members
and the World Bank as an observer.
IAAC is taking part in the Fifth ARIN-AP Annual General
Meeting, being held in Bali, Indonesia on November 5-6. On the first day of the
Annual General Meeting, G.Azjargal, a Department Head at the IAAC, made
presentation on ‘Effective use of ARIN-AP’.
ARIN-AP involves 21 countries and eight international
organizations. The network helps its members to share information in regard
with investigating corruption cases and recovering illicit profits kept in
foreign countries and holds training and courses on empowering its members’
personnel.
