12th Asia Oceania Service Meeting of AA concludes

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ The 12th Asia Oceania Service Meeting of Alcoholics Anonymous (AA) was held between July 6 and 9.

The meeting was attended by over 100 delegates from 15 countries, including General Manager and manager in charge of foreign relations of AA. Alcoholics Anonymous, an international fellowship of men and women who want to do something about his or her drinking problem, has a principle to hide the identity and private information of its members on social media. Under the theme ‘Preserving the integrity of carrying the message’, the 12th meeting declares the principle conceal personal information of AA members, respecting human rights, when distributing or publishing news and information about the non-profit organization to the public.

Furthermore, it has been 20 years since the Alcoholics Anonymous first established in Mongolia. Presently, over 3 thousand individuals are involved in 101 groups of the AA.
