Ulaanbaatar, December 11, 2023 /MONTSAME. Summary of events for the week of December 11-17.

In Ulaanbaatar:

December 11: Regular session of the Mongolian People’s Party and Democratic Party in the State Great Khural will be held in the State Palace.

December 12: The National Agency of Meteorology and Environmental Monitoring will organize a training session on "Weather and Media" among the media.

December 12: The Writers' Union of Mongolia, Institute of Linguistics of the Mongolian Academy of Sciences, Bayanbulag Regional Development Association NGO, and "Seasons and Authors” magazine will jointly organize an academic conference dedicated to the 90th anniversary of the birth of Perenlein Luvsantseren, a well-known representative of Mongolian literary prose, in the conference hall of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

December 12: A tribute concert of famous masters of dance will be held at the Cultural Center for the 100th anniversary of the birth of Garamyn Dolgorsuren, the founder of the modern training system of Mongolian dance, People's Teacher of Mongolia, Honored Actor, Professor of the Mongolian Conservatory.

December 12, 13: Standing Committee sessions of the State Great Khural will be held at the State Palace.

December 13: The regular meeting of the Cabinet will be held at the State Palace.

December 14: The discussion "Needs and requirements of business environment and commercial law" will be organized by the Ministry of Justice and Home Affairs of Mongolia and the Mongolian National Chamber of Commerce and Industry.

December 14. 15: A Plenary Session of the State Great Khural of Mongolia will be held at the State Palace.

December 15: A student research conference on the theme of "Turkic Studies" dedicated to the 130th anniversary of deciphering and reading the Runic script will be held in the 2nd building of the National University of Mongolia.

December 16: "Christmas Melody" jazz opera concert by O. Uyanga, Honored Artist of Mongolia, Soloist of the Mongolian State Academic Theatre of Opera and Ballet, will be held at the Cultural Center.

December 16: Child protection play "One Hundred and One Dalmatians" will be performed in the concert hall of UB Palace.

- Mongolian National Chamber of Commerce and Industry will organize the event "Fir Tree" in the central square of the capital in cooperation with the City Mayor’s Office. In this framework, enterprises will advertise their products and place their Christmas trees.

- The exhibition "CONTEMPORARY ART MONGOLIA-2023" organized jointly by the Union of Mongolian Artists and B Contemporary Art Gallery will continue.

- “Street Photo” exhibition will continue at the National Art Gallery Of Mongolia

- The Kharkhorum International Film Festival will continue.

Local events:

December 11: The Local Council for Disaster Risk Reduction will meet in Dundgobi aimag to discuss this year's work performance, draft work plan, and budget for 2024.

December 13: "Khurel Tulga-2023" poetry competition of young poets of Gobi-Altai aimag will be held in Altai city.

December 14: The 45th anniversary of Orkhon aimag’s “Erdenet” factory will be celebrated. The celebrations will include a festive meeting, a tribute concert, academic presentations, and cultural and art performances.

December 15: "INVEST BAYANKHONGOR: Investment conference" will be organized in Bayankhongor aimag.
