A three-day training on Horizontal Learning Process held

Ulaanbaatar/MONTSAME/. The Asia Foundation’s Urban
Governance Project (UGP) and Training and Research Center of Ulaanbaatar
(TRC-UB) successfully organized a three-day in-depth orientation training on
Horizontal Learning Process from August 24-26, 2021 for trainers of TRC-UB.
‘The Capacity Development Framework for Capital City Civil
Servants’ was approved by the Citizens Representative Khural of Ulaanbaatar
City by Resolution No.21/03 in 2019. According to the approved framework,
specialized trainings will be conducted on execution, service delivery,
self-development, leadership teamwork, managerial leadership and sharing of
best practices and disseminate information using the Horizontal Learning
Process for the counterparts at khoroo, district and municipal level.
Horizontal Learning Process or HLP methodology is being introduced to civil servants training program to identify, replicate and institutionalize good practices within peer learning process by Urban Governance Project (UGP). UGP is implemented by Municipality of Ulaanbaatar (MUB) and The Asia Foundation with generous funding from Swiss Development and Cooperation Agency (SDC).
At the last day of the training, U.Ganbold- Head of
Public Administration Department of Municipality of Ulaanbaatar, L.Zolzaya
-Senior National Programme Officer of SDC, Mark Koenig -Country Representative
of TAF and Santanu Lahiri- Consultant, Local Governance Initiative and Network
Asia (LOGIN) joined the orientation to share their thoughts on the importance
of the adoption of this new training methodology and next steps.
