Mongolia hosts official welcoming ceremony for Russian President

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/. President of Mongolia Kh.Battulga welcomed President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin, who is paying an official visit to Mongolia, at the Sukhbaatar Square in Ulaanbaatar.


Head of the President’s Office Z.Enkhbold, Deputy Prime Minister U.Enkhtuvshin, Minister of Defense N.Enkhbold, Minister of Energy Ts.Davaasuren, Governor of the capital city S.Amarsaikhan, Minister of Road and Transport Development B.Enkh-Amgalan and other officials took part in the welcoming ceremony from the Mongolian side.  


Following the welcoming ceremony at the central square, Presidents Vladimir Putin and Kh.Battulga paid their respect to the Statue of Chinggis Khaan. Then, the Russian President Vladimir Putin signed the Book of Honored Guests at the State House, which was followed by a tête-à-tête meeting of the two Presidents. The heads of state of Mongolia and Russia are holding official talks at this moment. 


During the visit, Mongolian Parliament Speaker G.Zandanshatar and Prime Minister U.Khurlesukh will pay courtesy calls on the Russian President. Afterwards, the Presidents of Mongolia and Russia will lay wreaths at the monument to Marshal Georgy Zhukov in Ulaanbaatar and take part in a dinner reception with military veterans.


This visit marks the fourth visit of the Russian President Vladimir Putin to Mongolia.
