Spring sowing running at 82.5 percent

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/. As of June 4, sowing has been made to 322.6 thousand hectares in total, of which wheat in 303.4 thousand hectares, potatoes in 11.6 thousand hectares, vegetables in 4.3 thousand hectares, fodder plants in 15.7 thousand hectares and oil plants in 36.3 thousand hectares. It means the grain sowing is running at 82.5 percent, potato at 84.1 percent and vegetables at 47.2 percent.
This year, 478 thousand hectares of areas will be cultivated for crops, including 368 thousand hectares for wheat, 32 thousand hectares for fodder plants, 29 thousand hectares for oil plants, 13.8 thousand hectares for potatoes, 8.9 thousand hectares for vegetables and 7.3 thousand hectares for fruits and berries.
