State Secretary D.Enkhbat attends Fifth Green Industry Conference

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ State Secretary of the Ministry of
Food, Agriculture and Light Industry D.Enkhbat worked in the Kingdom of
Thailand on October 3-5, participating in the Fifth Green Industry Conference for
Sustainable Development at the invitation of LI Yong, Director General of the
United Nations Industrial Development Organization (UNIDO).
In his address at the Fifth Green Industry Conference, State
Secretary D.Enkhbat said “Mongolia aims to provide our future generation with
pleasant living environment by implementing green economy and sustainable
development policies. I am pleased to inform the country is carrying out 255
works with six key objectives such as reducing waste, creating green jobs, maintaining
environmental balance and introducing new technology and innovation.
Taking part in the conference, Mr. Enkhbat held a bilateral
meeting with the UNIDO Director General at which he put forward a number of
proposals to cooperate in light industry and invited Mr. Li Yong to make a
visit to Mongolia.
Moreover, the State Secretary met with a delegation led by a Deputy
Permanent Secretary at Ministry of Agriculture and Cooperatives of Thailand and
agreed to establish a Memorandum in the near future while exchanging views on
cooperation opportunities.
