World Book Day celebrated nationwide
ВидеоOpening ceremony of the World Book Day was held in front of the Central Sports Palace. Mongolia marks the World Book Day widely and this year it will be celebrated nationwide on April 20-25 by the decision of the Minister of Education, Culture, Science and Sports.
During these days all libraries are working with special plans and the city libraries are offering library cards free of charge.
Writers and readers meeting will be held at the Children’s Central Library. Moreover, sales of signed books and books with lottery, book exhibition and discussions are to take place in the State House.
In addition, the ‘Bus with books’ project will offer books to the passengers travelling in Ulaanbaatar-Khuvsgul and Khuvsgul-Ulaanbaatar routes and a ‘Let’s cure our books’ book repair and restoration training will be conducted.
