Three remarkable sports events
映像Three remarkable events happened in Mongolian world of sports last weekend.
First, the 71st Yokozuna Kakuryu M.Anand became the champion of the summer’s sumo tournament Natsu Basho held in Tokyo with a total of 14 wins and 1 lose, defeating the 69th Yokozuna Hakuho M.Davaajargal on the last day. He is claiming the Emperor’s Cup for the fifth time and it was his second consecutive winning basho.
Secondly, Olympic Champion N.Tuvshinbayar won gold medal at Hohhot Grand Prix 2018, one of the series of competition hosted by the International Judo Federation. He defeated U.Duurenbayar in the men’s +100 gold medal match.
Thirdly, N.Tugstsogt competed with Colombian boxer Oscar Escandon on his 10th professional boxing match for three rounds with decisive superiority. In the third round, N.Tugstsogt dropped his rival with knockout, earning his 10th win in professional boxing.
