Mongolian artists make tour in Japan

            Artists from the Morin Khuur ensemble and “BilguunUndarga” folklore band promoted the Mongolian national folklore arts in 18 cities of Japan.

The concerts, took place in earthquake stricken regions of Japan, aimed to give countenance to the people, who are suffering from mental and physical losses. The events were an enrichment to the Mongolia-Japan people-to-people friendship.

Artists will dedicate Night of Verdi to classic enthusiasts

            The State Academic Theatre of Opera and Ballet will stage a concert tomorrow named “Night of Verdi” in collaboration with the Italian Embassy. The concert is being organized in frames of the implementation of a project co-realizedby Asian, European and American artists. Spectators of our country are already familiar with Guiseppe Verdi’s “La Traviata”, “La Trouvere”, “Rigoletto”, “Aida” and “Otello”. This time, the concert will play the least knownto the Mongolian audience compositions by Verdi.

Diplomatic passport holders to enjoy visa waiver to Japan

The Agreement on Visa Waiver for Holders of Diplomatic Passports between Mongolia and Japan took force yesterday. The bearers of diplomatic passports will be exempted from visa only for travels of official purposes. On private travels, the diplomatic passport holders will have to obtain visas, says the Director of the Consular Department of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, MrYa.Ariunbold.

Mongolia expects coldest winter in ten years

            The Deputy Prime Minister announced the Weather Office statement that this winter will be the coldest in the past decade, during the regular meeting of the State Emergency Commission, held yesterday in the Government Palace. Around 50 percent of the territory of Mongolia is in dzud-like conditions, with thick covers of snow.
