Ramesh Singh bestowed with NEMA title

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ Deputy Prime Minister U.Enkhtuvshin awarded Ramesh Singh, Country Director of Mercy Corps Mongolia, with title of foremost worker of National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA) for his contribution to the development of agricultural and emergency sectors, support of investment in disaster risk reduction and addressing pressing issues.

Mr.Ramesh Singh said “I am pleased to announce that we have raised funds for one-year extension of the disaster risk reduction project in Mongolia. We are focusing on the border areas of Mongolia as Deputy Prime Minister advised during the previous meeting.” His duty in Mongolia is completed as he has been appointed as a Country Director of Mercy Corps in Africa.

Deputy Prime Minister U.Enkhtuvshin expressed his gratitude, saying “Thanks to Mercy Corps Mongolia project owing to which the shepherds receive timely information on weather, preventing from infectious diseases of livestock via text messages. I am hopeful that more information to help improve the shepherds’ livelihoods will be available via sms soon.”
