Organized by the Ministry of Food, Agriculture and Light Industry, the expo, ‘Patriotic purchase - Domestic production - 2019’, opened at the Misheel Expo center on April 2. The cabinet announced the year of 2019 as ‘The year to promote patriotic purchase’, coming to the decision to approve a list of 155 domestically produced goods that meet the quality standards and add them as basic terms of tenders.

Upper limit on debt to income ratio to be tightened
At its meeting on March 21, the Monetary Policy Committee decided to keep the Policy rate unchanged at 11 percent and to revise the upper limit on debt service to income ratio on newly-issued and term-changed consumer loans excluding pension loans to 60 percent, effective April 1, 2019.

ADB supports private sector solar power development in Mongolia
The Asian Development Bank (ADB) and the Leading Asia’s Private Infrastructure Fund (LEAP) today signed an USD18.7 million loan with Sermsang Power Corporation Public Company Limited (SSP) and Tenuun Gerel Construction LLC (TGC) to build, operate, and maintain a 15-megawatt solar power plant supplying electricity to Mongolia’s central grid system.
