‘Children’s railway’ giving service free of charge
A Children's Railway is operating in the ‘My Mongolia’ park in Darkhan city, Darkhan-Uul aimag. About 20 thousand children or, an average of 600-800 children per day have traveled on the children’s train since its launch on October 18.

Teachers to be involved in capacity building training for teaching bilingual learners
On November 9, Minister of Education and Science L.Enkh-Amgalan held a virtual meeting with OSCE (Organization for Security and Co-operation in Europe) High Commissioner on National Minorities Kairat Abdrakhmanov. Previously, the two sides signed a memorandum of cooperation on developing multilingual and multicultural education in Mongolia on May 18, 2021.

The Mongol Messenger, English weekly newspaper operated by MONTSAME National News Agency, announces its annual essay contest in English among 10-12th grade students studying at high schools in Ulaanbaatar that have a special curriculum for English. It is the third year the contest is being organized.

 The Ministry of Health reported that 1021 new cases of COVID-19 have been reported in the past 24 hours. Specifically, 672 cases were confirmed in Ulaanbaatar city, with 349 cases in rural regions and three imported case.

Feasibility study to be developed for flyover construction in Ulaanbaatar
With a purpose to improve the quality and accessibility of public transportation in the capital city, the Cabinet assigned the Mayor of Ulaanbaatar and Governor of the capital city to select the legal entity to develop feasibility study for flyover construction project in the first quarter of next year.

Working group on waste-to-energy plant project to be established
At the Cabinet’s regular meeting on November 10, Minister of Energy N.Tavinbekh and Governor of the capital city and Mayor of Ulaanbaatar D.Sumiyabazar were instructed to set up a joint working group to carry out a feasibility study into building a waste-to-energy plant in Ulaanbaatar and find the necessary funding source.
