Ulaanbaatar, June 9, 2025 /MONTSAME/. Students who have qualified for the "President's Scholar-2100" Scholarship Program and are enrolled in preparatory courses planted the first 250 trees in the newly established "Students' Grove" named after the Scholarship.

Initiated by the National University of Mongolia (NUM), the "Student Grove" was established on the premises of the NUM's Training and Research Center in Kharkhorin.

Education, Science, and Technology Advisor to President of Mongolia Lodoiravsal Choimaa stated, "To prepare future specialists and develop a skilled workforce, the President of Mongolia initiated the 'President's Scholar-2100' Scholarship Program, with the fourth wave of students ready to study. Around one thousand students are studying in more than 20 countries abroad, in professions most needed for Mongolia. When the students return home after completing their studies abroad, the trees they planted here will have grown. It is auspicious that the Grove is being established near Kharkhorum, the ancient Capital of the Great Mongol Empire, in the Orkhon Valley of natural beauty, the cradle of our nation's history and culture. I wish the students success."

Dean of the NUM School of Engineering and Technology, Professor Sonomdagva Chonokhuu said, “Our school’s forestry specialists will nurture the planted trees. Students can come to this Grove whenever they like to water and care for the trees.”
