Speaker Zandanshatar Holds Conversations with Asian Leaders

Ulaanbaatar, May 27, 2024 /MONTSAME/. On the sidelines of Nikkei Forum 29th “Future of Asia” in Tokyo, Japan, Chairman of the State Great Khural of Mongolia (Parliament) Zandanshatar Gombojav met with the leaders of some Asian countries, including Prime Minister of Japan Fumio Kishida, Prime Minister of Malaysia Anwar Ibrahim, and Deputy Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Cambodia Sun Chanthol on May 24, 2024.
During the meetings, Chairman Zandanshatar introduced Mongolia’s current social and economic performance and exchanged views on the possibilities of cooperation using technological advancements.
The leaders of Japan, Malaysia, and Cambodia were interested in Mongolia's upcoming parliamentary elections and expressed strong appreciation for Mongolia's commitment to strengthening parliamentary democracy, evidenced by the recent amendments to the Constitution.
In addition, Speaker of the Parliament of Mongolia Zandanshatar exchanged views on issues of regional and bilateral cooperation with former Prime Minister of Japan Fukuda Yasuo, Minister for Digital Transformation of Japan Taro Kono, Chairperson of the Japan Business Federation Masakazu Tokura, Japan's National Security Advisor Takeo Akiba, Chairman of the Board for the Japan Bank for International Cooperation (JBIC) Tadashi Maeda, and Chairman and Group CEO at Nikkei Naotoshi Okada.'
