Veterinary Hospital for Large Livestock Animals to be Established in Erdene soum

Ulaanbaatar, 2024 February 14 /MONTSAME/. Strengthening the capacity of Mongolian Veterinary Hospitals and Establishing the Veterinary Health Center Project was implemented in 2019-2023 with the funding of the Korean Rural Community Corporation of South Korea and the Ministry of Food and Agriculture of Mongolia.

 

A delegation from the Korean Rural Community Corporation /KRC/ headed by KRC President Lee Byung Ho visited the Mongolian University of Life Science on February 7 to discuss the ways to successfully implement the project’s second stage under the funding of the Government of South Korea.

 

As an outcome of this Project, a Veterinary Hospital was established at the Veterinary School of the Mongolia University of Life Science, and short and long-term training for its professors was conducted in the two countries. Mongolian University of Life Science reported that the Project has been implemented successfully jointly with WOSEM group of South Korea and Kyungpook National University.

 

A veterinary hospital for large livestock animals is planned to be established in Erdene soum, Tuv aimag as the second stage of the Project, and at the meeting, the two parties exchanged views on how to successfully implement the second phase of the Project. Rector of the Mongolian University of Life Science expressed the University’s commitment to effectively running the newly established Veterinary Hospital funded by the Government of South Korea and its people.

 

President Lee Byung Ho, Korean Rural Community Corporation of South Korea stated his appreciation that the Project is considered one of the most successful projects funded by the Government of South Korea and expressed KRC’s full support in the implementation of the second phase of the Project.
