Beef and dairy cattle to be imported from Belarus

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ 5000 head of dairy cattle and 4000 head of beef cattle are planned to be supplied to Mongolia under the general export credit agreement between the Government of Mongolia and the Government of Belarus to improve local breeds, increase the number of purebred cattle in intensive farming, increase domestic supply of milk and dairy products and meat and meat products, support meat export, and reduce the import of powdered milk.
Relevant officials from both sides have signed an agreement in Minsk, Belarus for the first supply of 500 head of cattle of breeds such as Hereford, Angus, and Limousin from Belarusian stockbreeding institution ‘Belplemzhivotobyedinenie’.
