General entrance exams scheduled August 19-22
SocietyUlaanbaatar /MONTSAME/. The nationwide general entrance exams to colleges and universities had been postponed due to the COVID-19 transmission in the country and closures of schools.
During the irregular meeting of the cabinet held on July 20, Minister of Education and Science L.Enkh-Amgalan confirmed that the general entrance exams of 2021 for high school graduates will be organized from August 19 to 22.
A total of 40,420 school graduates will take the entrance exams at 81 exam locations across the country and some 9,000 teachers and education officers will be employed during the countrywide exams. Also, around 7,600 graduates will travel from remote rural regions to the center of aimags to take the exams on these days. Around 38,200 graduates registered to take the exams have been vaccinated with both doses against the coronavirus.
The education minister informed that high schools graduates who will be staying under isolation due to the COVID-19 infection during these days will be able to take the exams on September 2-5 based on the approval from doctors.
