Charter flight brings 141 Mongolian nationals home
SocietyUlaanbaatar /MONTSAME/. At 11:19 p.m., May 26, a charter flight in route of Tokyo-Ulaanbaatar landed at
Buyant-Ukhaa International Airport in Ulaanbaatar city with 141 passengers on
board.
The returnees have been placed under isolation at ‘Novotel’, ‘Kempinski’,
‘Tuushin’, ‘Ibis’, ‘Park’ and ‘Narantuul’ hotels and ‘Ontsgoi Jargalant’
sanatorium.
A regulation is under implementation to transfer repatriated
citizens, who spent 14 days since receiving the both doses of coronavirus
vaccine, into home isolation, reports Operative Staff of the State Emergency
Commission.
Since the closure of the country’s border due to the outbreak of
the pandemic last year, a total of 35 thousand Mongolian citizens have been
repatriated from 93 foreign countries, around 27,700 citizens by 170 charter
flights and some 6,700 citizens through auto road border points.
