'Garden of Friendship' nestled for 60th anniversary for Mongolia-Cuba diplomatic relations

Ulaanbaatar/MONTSAME/. This year, Mongolia and the Republic of Cuba are marking their 60th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations. Within this historical anniversary, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Governor’s Office of the capital and representatives of the Association of Mongolian Graduates in Cuba jointly established a ‘Garden of Friendship’ on May 21 at the National Garden Park in Ulaanbaatar.




In his speech, the Foreign Minister noted the strengthening of friendship between the two countries, which began 60 years ago, and thanked the organizations and communities for their contribution to this work of planting trees, which is a clear expression of the friendship.




The opening ceremony was attended by D.Tsogtbaatar, Minister of Foreign Affairs, Raul Delgado, Ambassador of Cuba to Mongolia, and D.Munkhjargal, Project Manager for Air and Environmental Pollution in Ulaanbaatar. Moreover, Ch. Dambajav, Hamba Lama and Head of the Mongolian-Cuban Friendship Association, former Ambassadors, senior diplomats and about 180 Mongolian graduates in Cuba participated in the event and planted symbolic 60 trees.


Cuba is the first country in Latin America that established diplomatic relations with Mongolia.
