Trade of government bonds in secondary markets amounted to MNT 27.9 billion in 2019

Ulaanbaatar/MONTSAME/. In 2019, 450.4 million pieces of securities worth of MNT161.4 billion were traded at the national stock market, which is decreased by MNT 198.7 billion (55.2%) compared to the same period of the previous year. The number of traded securities decreased by 216.9 million pieces (32.5%) compared to the same period of previous year.
In December 2019, 27.8 million pieces of securities worth of MNT 4.7 billion were traded at the national stock market, which is decreased by MNT 15.2 billion (76.3%) from the previous month. The number of traded securities increased by MNT15.9 million pieces (134.9%) from the previous month.
Trade of government bonds in secondary markets amounted to MNT 27.9 billion in 2019, which is decreased by MNT 121.9 billion (81.4%) compared to the same period of 2018. However, in December 2019, trade of government bonds in secondary markets amounted to MNT 466.0 million, which is increased by MNT 383.6 million (4.7 times more) from the previous month.
In December 2019, the top 20 indexes average of the financial markets was 18 954.9 units, increased by 349.6 units from the previous month, while it is decreased by 1121.6 units from the same period of 2018.
In December 2019, the total
value of joint stock companies operating at the stock market reached MNT 2.7
trillion, increased by MNT 159.8 billion (6.3%) from previous months and by MNT
182.3 billion (7.3%) from the previous year.
The monthly average exchange
rate of MNT to US dollars announced from Central Bank of Mongolia in December
2019 was MNT 2 727.34 to one USD, which is depreciated by 3.4% from the same
period of previous year and by 0.8% from the previous the month.
Monthly average exchange rate of MNT to the Chinese Yuan announced from Central Bank of Mongolia in December 2019 was MNT 388.75 to one CNY, which is depreciated by 1.5% from the same period of previous year and by 0.9% from the previous the month.
The monthly average exchange rate of MNT to Russian Ruble announced from Central Bank of Mongolia in December 2019 was MNT 43.38 to one RUB, which is depreciated by 10.8% from the same period of the previous year and by 2.4% from the previous month.
