Gynecologists and obstetricians to study experience in Japan

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ Minister of Health D.Sarangerel today received 10 gynecologists and obstetricians from five aimags, who are to head for Japan to be involved in a training.


The Minister wished the physicians to learn much from experiences on diagnosis and treatment of the country as well as to study way of life, culture, customs, communication and attitude of the people of the country and sharing them to others.

From 2018 to 2020, the Government of Mongolia, the Ministry of Health and Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) are jointly implementing a project ‘Improving quality of prenatal services through training of medical specialists as a team’.


A team comprised of gynecologists and obstetricians from Arkhangai, Bayankhongor, Gobi-Altai, Tuv and Khentii aimags will attend the one-month training that will begin on January 13.


This is the third training since the launching of the project. Another 10 physicians from these five aimags will be involved in the training next year as well. The Japanese side will cover all the expenses for the training, cost of travel and living expenses in Japan.
