Volunteers for ‘Mongol Olle’ project working in Mongolia

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ A volunteering team of 16 people from the Republic of Korea has arrived in Mongolia to support ‘Mongol Olle’ project, which aims to develop Olle standard hiking trails.
Tourism Department of the Capital City in cooperation with the Jeju Tourism Organization and the Jeju Olle Foundation are implementing a project to develop Olle standard walking trails in the surrounding areas of Ulaanbaatar city since 2016.
Within the framework of the cooperation, ‘Mongol Olle’ Information Center was opened last summer at Seoul street of Ulaanbaatar city in aims of providing foreign and domestic tourists with information. Furthermore, the Korean volunteers will work in Mongolia for a whole year, running activities such as promoting and beautifying the trail routes and giving free language courses.
The Jeju Olle Foundation helps to develop trail routes to make walking environmentally friendly as well as support livelihood of local people along the walking routes. There are now 26 trails covering 425 kilometers on the Jeju island.
