Humanitarian works by Mongolian Red Cross Society totaled MNT 1.93 billion

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ On December 27, the Mongolian Red Cross Society (MRCC) organized an annual gratitude event for its partner organizations and individuals.
After handing over certificates of awarding to its partner organizations, General Secretary of the MRCC N.Bolormaa thanked for the Government of Mongolia, Ministries of Health and Labor and Social Protection, National Emergency Management Agency, other government and non-government organizations, international organizations, business entities and individuals, who put their philanthropic efforts for achieving social well being and organizing various measures aimed at Mongolian people.
Ms. N.Bolormaa further informed that the MRCC became the fourth national society in the world to receive an international certification by the Organizational Capacity Assessment and Certification (OCAC), a broad/comprehensive assessment process approved by International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies.
“In 2019, the MRCC received a total of MNT 1 billion 929 million as an assistance from state and local budgets as a cooperation between the Mongolian government and the Red Cross Society” said Ms. N.Bolormaa.
Moreover, during the event, the MRCC extended its cooperation by signing Memorandums of cooperation with Energy Resources LLC, Monos Ulaanbaatar, Trade and Development Bank and Asian Football Confederation.
As partnership with the Energy Resources Company, the MRCC is implementing a ‘Little Heart’ project to help 64 children with congenital heart defect go under surgery in China. In addition, the MRCC has been carried out a range of humanities projects targeting people from vulnerable groups this year.
