Emergency service to receive 72 fire trucks

/MONTSAME/ At its meeting on December 18, the Cabinet approved the special loan
agreement on the procurement of fire trucks and equipment to the National
Emergency Management Agency (NEMA). Under the agreement, 72 fire trucks and
other equipment will be bought from Belarus with a loan of EUR 15.4 million and
supplied to NEMA and rural emergency management departments. The 7-year loan
will have a moratorium period of 2 years.
Currently, 68 rescue and fire units of the country have 6 types of 240 fire engines even though they should have 9 types of 501 trucks in accordance with relevant norms and standards.
