20th anniversary of Ulaanbaatar-Miyakonojo relations celebrated in Japan
SocietyUlaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ Deputy Governor of the Capital City in charge of social development issues Sh.Ankhmaa and Member of the capital city council Ts.Baigalmaa attended an event dedicated to the 20th anniversary of the establishment of friendly relations between Ulaanbaatar and the Japanese city of Miyakonojo held on November 24-25. The anniversary celebration featured official meetings, conference, opening of a memorial board, and collaborative art concert.
Ms.
Sh.Ankhmaa delivered greetings and informed the residents of Miyakonojo about the
history and development of Ulaanbaatar at the opening of the event.
Over the
past two decades, the two cities have seen many reciprocal visits, and cultural,
arts, education, and youth exchanges, and developed long-standing friendly ties
and cooperation in agriculture, renewable energy, sports and many other
sectors. Miyakonojo is notable in Japan for the development of its agricultural
and intensive animal husbandry and fruit and tea cultivation.
