‘Altai without Borders’ first international festival takes place

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/. On the occasion of the 80th anniversary of the Khalkhin Gol Battles, an international festival named ‘Altai without Borders’ was organized for artists of Mongolia and Russia in the cities of Belokurikha and Biysk located in the Altai region of the Russian Federation between November 2 and 9.
The festival was co-organized by the Foundation of Andrey Bogolyubsky, and the Russian Culture Fund, with support from the local government, and the Culture and Art Authority of Mongolia. Students from schools, colleges and universities of the cities of Barnaul, Biysk, and Belokurikha of Russia, and students of the State Conservatory and culture and arts schools of Mongolia participated in the international festival.
From the side of Mongolia, a group named, ‘Mongolian traditional instrument octet’, won the Grand Prix, while six Mongolian artists were awarded with First Grade Laureate diplomas.
