Military long run obstacle course competition held

Ulaanbaatar/MONTSAME/. The military long run obstacle course competition, named after the President of Mongolia and the Commander-in-Chief of the Mongolian Armed Forces, commenced on June 4 at the Five Hills Training Area of the Military Unit 311, the Peace Support Operations Training Center.
The competition is bringing
together over 500 athletes belonging to 19 teams representing eight state and
military institutions that are charged with duties of ensuring national
security and enforcing law, including the General Staff of the Mongolian Armed
Forces, the General Authority for Border Protection, the Staff of the Internal
Troops, the National Emergency Management Agency, the General Executive Agency
of Court Decision, the General Intelligence Agency, the National Defense
University, and the University of Internal Affairs, formerly known as the Law
Enforcement University.
According to the General
Staff of the Mongolian Armed Forces, the military long run obstacle course
competition includes various contests and exercises such as drill, shooting,
obstacle zone, and decontamination in affected area, designed to test the
physical fitness, mental toughness, and specialized skills of the participants.
Present at the opening
ceremony were, President of Mongolia and Commander-in-Chief of the Mongolian
Armed Forces Khaltmaagiin Battulga, Defense and Security Policy Advisor to the
President, Lieutenant General D.Davaa, Minister of Defense N.Enkhbold, Chief of
the General Staff of the Mongolian Armed Forces, Major General A.Ganbat, and
leaderships of the participating institutions.
In his remarks during the
opening ceremony, President Battulga congratulated the participants of the
competition and wished them success.
