Improvement of legal framework on innovation highlighted

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/. A discussion was held under the theme, 'Co-innovation - 2019', in the frameworks of the Mongolian Innovation Week on May 7.
Director of Science and Technology Policy Department at the Ministry of Education, Culture, Science and Sports (MECSS) S.Munkhbat and MP, Head of Innovation Lobby Group N.Uchral gave opening remarks at the discussion. Consisting of two main sections, the main presentation was done by Head of the Innovation Department at MECSS D.Odgerel with the topic, ‘Current situation of the contributors to innovation in Mongolia’ in the first section, while a presentation, panel and team discussions were held under the theme, ‘The effect, importance and opportunity of co-working space and incubator centers in innovation development’.
The participants highlighted the improvements made in the legal framework of innovation development in Mongolia, such as the state policy on innovation, revised law on innovation, law on putting intellectual property into economic circulation, law on state registration and the package laws on tax now have articles on developing innovation.
They also noted the even contribution of corresponding ministries, agencies, departments, universities, researchers, scientific institutes, NGOs, international organizations, incubator centers, co-working spaces, startup business owners and entities in the development of innovation ecosystem.
