National Trade Facilitation Committee convenes
EconomyUlaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ The fourth meeting of the National Trade
Facilitation Committee (NTFC) was held at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs on
April 10. The meeting, chaired by Minister of Foreign Affairs and Head of NFTC
D.Tsogtbaatar, was participated by representatives of the Ministry of Food,
Agriculture, and Light Industry, Customs General Administration, State
Specialized Inspection Agency, Agency for Standardization and Metrology,
Communications and Information Technology Authority, National Development
Agency and National Chamber of Commerce and Industry and the coordinator of the
ADB project ‘Regional Improvement of Border Services’.
NTFC aims to ensure Mongolia’s compliance with the WTO Trade
Facilitation Agreement and to create favorable external and internal business conditions
for the entities and businesspeople.
The meeting reviewed the implementation of the national committee’s 2018 action plan, and current performance of the plan of action for 2019. In particular, issues of improving coordination between the National Foreign Trade
Database and the organizations conducting foreign trade activities and
developing a digital one-stop system were raised. Moreover, the participants
discussed the necessity of joining to the Framework Agreement on Facilitation of
Cross-border Paperless Trade in Asia and the Pacific and agreed to make
decisions in regard with the matters.
