Equipment to physically simulate earthquake to be installed

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/. In partnership with JICA, the National Emergency Management Agency has finished preparing for the installation of the earthquake simulation equipment at the Ulaanbaatar Training and Methodology Center for Disaster Protection.
In the frameworks of the ‘Project for Strengthening the National Capacity of Earthquake Disaster Protection and Prevention in Mongolia’ jointly being implemented by the two organizations for the third year, the equipment, which will simulate earthquakes varying between 3 to 12 magnitude, is being installed.
As earthquake activity has been increasing in Mongolia in the recent years, citizens will be able to physically experience an earthquake by attending safety training programs at the center.
