State Secretary D.Enkhbat meets TIKA Program Coordinator

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ State Secretary of the Ministry of Food, Agriculture and Light Industry D.Enkhbat on October 16, met with Emrah Ustaomer, Turkish Cooperation and Coordination Agency (TIKA)'s Program Coordinator in Ulaanbaatar.


Shortly after his appointment as the Program Coordinator in Ulaanbaatar, Mr. Emrah Ustaomer held a meeting with Minister of Food, Agriculture and Light Industry B.Batzorig at which the sides agreed to cooperate to empower the sector’s personnel by implementing technology transfer projects and programs. The State Secretary thus, held the meeting with aim of actualizing the matters agreed at the Minister’s meeting.


At the beginning of the meeting, State Secretary D.Enkhbat extended gratitude to Mr. Emrah Ustaomer for making an initiative to develop bilateral relations and cooperation in the field of food, agriculture and light industry, and detailed him on the sector and operations of the newly-built General Office for Veterinary Services.


The Turkish side voiced aspiration to bring bilateral ties and cooperation to a new level, and their intention of carrying out a number of small projects to develop Mongolia’s food, agriculture and light industry sector.


State Secretary D.Enkhbat requested to supply agricultural equipment, especially compact tractors and portable electric milking machines and provide support in stabilizing operations of the General Office for Veterinary Services.


The sides agreed that the initiatives from both sides are significant for the expansion of bilateral friendly ties and cooperation.
