Limits set for by-election campaign expenditure

Ulaanbaatar/MONTSAME/ On August 2, Mongolian National Audit Office (MNAO) set the limits on campaign expenditure to be spent by candidates, political parties and coalitions for the parliamentary by-election on October 7, 2018 based on the number of voters and territorial size of the 42nd constituency of Parliamentary Election and the expenditure performances of the political parties and candidates of 2016 Parliamentary Election and 2017 Presidential Election.
The spending limit for the by-election is set at MNT102 million per political party and coalition and MNT92 million per candidate.
Last June, the Parliament approved to allot MNT228.9 million from state budget for organizing the by-election.
