Deputy PM discusses cooperation issues with Russian delegates

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ Deputy Prime Minister U.Enkhtuvshin met with Russian Minister of Trade and Industry D.V.Manturov at the State House, exchanging views on bilateral trade and economic ties.
 
As a head of Mongolian side to the Mongolia-Russia Intergovernmental Commission, I am confident that Intergovernmental Agreement between Mongolia and Russia on Supporting Regional and Cross-border Cooperation, which was agreed to establish during the 21st meeting held in February in Moscow, will give support to intensify regional trade, economic, scientific, cultural and humanitarian cooperation as well as develop cross-border infrastructure, Deputy PM noted at the beginning of the meeting.
 
Moreover, Deputy PM expressed gratitude to Russian side on backing the Government of Mongolia to establish Free Trade Agreement with the Eurasian Economic Union (EEU) and informed the country is working to receive assistance from other member states.  
 
He also said I have no doubt that by making development programs such as EEU, China’s Belt and Road Initiative and Mongolia’s Development Road program coherent it will give significant contribution to not only trilateral cooperation but also regional development.  
 
To raise trade volume of Mongolia in the bilateral trade balance, Russian Minister D.V.Manturov expressed cooperation possibilities of increasing number of Russian tourists travel to Mongolia and establishing joint factories of mining, energy and light industry.

After meeting with the Russian Minister of Trade and Industry, Deputy PM received Aide to the President of Russia I.Y.Levitin, discussing an opportunity to supply mineral raw materials of Mongolia, especiallly, high quality coal to global market through sea ports of the Far Eastern Federal District of Russia.
