Deputy Speaker meets member of Civic Chamber of Russia

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ Deputy Speaker of Parliament L.Enkh-Amgalan met Wednesday Dmitry Yurievich Nosov, member of Civic Chamber of the Russian Federation, on October 25.
At the beginning of the meeting L.Enkh-Amgalan expressed his satisfaction with meeting D.Yu.Nosov, who is an Olympic bronze medalist and public figure. He added the Mongolian Parliament will support international projects and programs on combating smoking for social well-being.
“Mongolia joined the WHO Framework Convention on Tobacco Control in 2013. Mongolia also has been involved in programs ‘Tobacco-Free Children’ and ‘Tobacco-free Future’ to collaborate in working out a law on tobacco control. I express my gratitude on behalf of the Parliament of Mongolia for sharing your experiences and programs implemented in Russia,” L.Enkh-Amgalan said.
In response, D.Yu.Nosov thanked the Deputy Speaker for the audience and then briefed about ongoing activities against smoking as well as the Russian law on tobacco control.
The sides shared views on creating smoke-free environment and expressed their readiness to collaborate in it.
