Program to save electricity to be implemented

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ A national program on electricity saving was approved as appendix by the Cabinet on September 20.

Money to launch the program will be placed in the Basic Guideline for Development and annual budgets, and it will be involved in international organizations' loan and aid.

When the project is implemented, about 610 million kilowatt/hour electricity is expected to be saved and over 600 thousand tons of carbon dioxide (C02) will be minimized. It means that twice as much as electricity produced Darkhan Central Heating Plant in 2016 and annual consumption of electricity in 200 thousand households or MNT 80 billion can be saved through the project.
