Mongolian child jockey movie acquires G-certification
PoliticsUlaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ Mongolian film ‘The Children of Genghis’ has been approved by Motion Picture Association of America to screen in the country with General Audiences (G) rating.
The exciting news was communicated on Facebook by producer of the film D.Angarag PGA (member of the Producers Guild of America), CEO of Mongol Film Group Los Angeles Branch on March 23.
Collaboration of Mongol Film Group, Mongolian Film Development Foundation and the Los Angeles Branch of Mongol Film Group, the film has been in production since earlier 2016.
“The Children of Genghis has become the first Mongolian movie to be rated G. Being G-rated, our movie is open to everyone in the world”, he wrote enthusiastically.
Directed by D.Zolbayar and written by Ch.Ganzorig and G.Buyantsogt, the movie tells a story about Mongolian child jockeys, and its premiere can be expected in upcoming July. The movie-makers shot the film in Tsenher soum of Arkhangai aimag last year with cast members D.Dorjsambuu, D.Dorj and D.Sharavdorj who are siblings, B.Batmend, R.Ankhnyam and Brittany Belt.
