Council on economic policy concluded its first meeting

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ The first meeting of the Council on economic policy which was established under auspicies of the Prime Minister of Mongolia held in Ulaanbaatar on December 13.

At the beginning of the meeting, Senior Advisor to Prime Minister N.Enkhbayar gave brief information about the main goals of the development policy. He talked about the ways of overcoming certain obstacles with an aim to stabilize macroeconomic situation and  improve the investment environment in Mongolia.

The Council on economic policy was set up with aims to give policy advices on medium and long-term development policies of Mongolia, on cooperation between the state and the private sector, on banking and financial spheres.

Council includes the representatives of the National statistical committee, Mongolbank, the Association of Mongolian banks, the Mongolian National Chamber of Commerce and Industry (MNCCI),  the Mongolian Employers' Federation, the National council on supporting private sector, the Economic Research Institute and the National University of Mongolia.
