New Mayor of Ulaanbaatar receives seal
PoliticsUlaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ On July 7, former Mayor of Ulaanbaatar city E.Bat-Uul handed over the seal to his successor S.Batbold.
At the first session of the Citizens’ Representatives Khural (council) of UB, the majority of representatives backed candidature of S.Batbold, a former MP to Ulaanbaatar Mayor. Thus he becomes the 32nd Mayor of the capital.
During the ceremony, E.Bat-Uul emphasized public service must continue without interruption. He said the city is expecting the biggest events such as the Naadam Grand Festival and the 11th ASEM Summit, and wished the capital city flourish further.
“City residents applauded our jobs for delivering public services from one spot, which makes it simpler. I wish the newly-elected leaders of the city carry on this initiative in the city,” said E.Bat-Uul. He added that re-planning of ger areas, “Good fence” and “Friendly Ulaanbaatar” programs should go on.
