“Mongolia of Blue Skies” photo exhibition opens in Montreal
Art & CultureUlaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ “Mongolia of Blue Skies” photographic exhibition opened March 4 in Montreal of Canada. The measure has been organized in the margin of the annual Asian Festival, and is the first-ever major cultural event about Mongolia for Quebec.
The organizers are the Embassy of Mongolia to Canada and Accès Asie Festival. The exhibition will be open until this May 8, displaying photographs of Mongolia’s nomadic culture, way of life, beautiful landscapes and modern developments, taken by B.Bayar and A.Giimel.
The opening remarks were given by the Ambassador R.Altangerel and the Director-general of Accès Asie Mr Khosro Berahmandi. More than 600 people attended the opening ceremony, including the diplomatic mission representatives and Mongolians living in Montreal. Dressed in traditional costumes, they played national music, danced folk dance and offered Mongolian cuisine to the guests.
