Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ At its regular meeting on Monday, the Mongolian People’s Party’s (MPP) faction discussed an issue of maintaining permanent neutrality status, which has been proposed by the President, and considered as necessity to scrutinize the matter.

The faction considered the permanent neutrality status in four directions, N.Enkhbold MP. The faction considers that this status "could lead to a requirement of amending the Constitution and other laws, shrink the current multilateral active foreign policy of Mongolia, make us look again at the partnership issues with neighbor countries, cause contradiction in the foreign policy among the political forces in terms of understanding this matter."

He stressed that "the issue should be resolved after all the doubts dispel".

The faction's head S.Byambatsogt said the children’s benefits from the Human Development Fund (HDF) should be granted prior to the Lunar New Year. He added the faction considers that the mortgage loan interest should be reduced to five percent and a credit interest for herders--to 10 percent.
