State Secretary Gankhuyag at “Media Hour”

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ The State Secretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs D.Gankhuyag reported at the “Media Hour” meekly meeting on Wednesday about national programmes on propagandizing Mongolia abroad, on World Mongolians and on economic foreign relations, which have been adopted by the cabinet. He also briefed about the FM's visit paid to the Islamic Republic of Iran.

Underlining a significance of ensuring the country’s security with political and diplomatic methods, D.Gankhuyag talked about works done for upgrading a legal environment of the external relations. Main objectives of the programme on promoting Mongolia abroad are to design directions of foreign propaganda that will realize the foreign policy of Mongolia, to create a complex mechanism of systematized and comprehensive propaganda, and to promote bilateral and multilateral cooperation through foreign propaganda and cultural ties.

The “World Mongolians” programme aims to realize a complex policy focused on Mongolians abroad, to determine solutions to their problems, to promote their contributions to the development and progress of Mongolia.

The “Economic external relations of Mongolia” programme has a goal to improve the economic capability by ways such as expanding the economic cooperation with foreign countries, contributing to ensuring of the unity of foreign policy, penetrating into the foreign market, augmenting industries and investments, creating internationally-recognized national entities, D.Gankhuyag said.

He reminded all that the FM L.Purevsuren paid the official visit to the Islamic Republic of Iran on December 23-24 of 2015. The Minister had held official talks with his colleague Mr Mohammad Javad Zarif to share views on ways of strengthening the Mongolia-Iran political ties, bilateral cooperation in trade, economy, investments, education, culture and sciences, and in international and regional issues, he added.

The State Secretary also spoke about a participation of the Deputy PM Ts.Oyunbaatar in the 14th Meeting of the Council of Heads of Governments (Prime Ministers) of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) in December 14-15 of 2015 in Zhengzhou of China; and in a regular meeting of the working group for establishing an economic corridor among Mongolia, Russia and China, held December 28-29 in Moscow of Russia.
