‘Capital of Khaans – Kharkhorin’ exhibition opens
On September 19, National Library of Mongolia opened ‘Capital of Khaans-Kharkhorin’ exhibition on the occasion of the 800th anniversary of the city of Kharkhorin (Karakorum), the capital city of the Great Mongol Empire and the 435th anniversary of the Erdene Zuu Monastery.

Directed by a young Mongolian director named Lkhagvadulam Purev-Ochir, the short film, ‘Mountain Cat’, has been selected for the 2020 Toronto International Film Festival. Previously, the film was also selected for the competitive stage of the Cannes Film Festival in June 2020, and named as one of the top 11 works.
