Women Entrepreneur Growth Fund Program Launched in Mongolia

Battsetseg, “Women Entrepreneur Growth Fund Program”, supported by the United Nations Economic and Social Commission for Asia and the Pacific (UNESCAP) and Women Enterprise Recovery Fund, is going to be implemented in Mongolia for the first time.

Zagreb Open Ranking Series will take place in the capital city of Croatia until February 5. United World Wrestling is planning to hold a four-ranking series this year. The champions of the contest will be awarded CHF 1500, the following silver medalist CHF 750, and the bronze medalist CHF 500.

Mongolian freestyle wrestlers claimed a total of 11 medals, including four gold, four silver, and three bronze medals from the international tournament, named after the two-time Olympic champion, world and European champion, Honored Master of Sports of the USSR Ivan Yarygin, held between January 26-28.

Number of Foreign Tourists Tripled
The number of passengers crossing Mongolia's border reached 2016.2 thousand (double counting) in 2022. Compared to the previous year, the number of passengers increased by 1372.8 (3.1 times).

Mongolia and the U.S. Sign Memorandum of Consultations
On January 24 in Washington, D.C., Deputy Assistant Secretary of the U.S. Department of State’s Bureau of Economic and Business Affairs Richard T. Yoneoka and Mongolian State Secretary of the Ministry of Road and Transport Development Batbold Sandagdorj signed a Memorandum of Consultations (MOC) finalizing an Air Transport Agreement between the Government of the United States and the Government of Mongolia – the first bilateral air transport agreement negotiated by the two countries. The MOC acknowledges that the aeronautical authorities of the countries intend to apply the agreement on the basis of comity and reciprocity pending its entry into force.
