Regional professionals gather in Ulaanbaatar to discuss newborn screening
On August 24-26, Ulaanbaatar is hosting the10th Asia Pacific regional meeting of International society for newborn screening (ISNS) under the theme “Racing to expand newborn screening in the Asia Pacific Region and in Mongolia”. Mongolian Society of newborn screening together with Health Ministry are organizing the meeting. Newborn screening is a public health program of screening in infants shortly after birth for a list of conditions that are treatable, but not clinically evident in the newborn period.

Senior athlete Ts.Oyunchimeg has won a gold medal in the European Open Championships for Weightlifting, setting the world record. She took part in the women’s +75 kg masters’ category, where 14 athletes competed.
