Otgontenger Calamity: death toll 17

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ The National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA) reported that three more bodies have been found on Otgontenger Mountain.
Emergency servicemen found the remaining three bodies at 10.05am, 10.36am and 10.40am, the Emergency Staff in charge of the operation reported from Zavkhan aimag on Wednesday.
As such, a snowslide on Otgontenger Mountain (4,008m) has resulted in the deaths of 17 mountaineers who were missing since October 21.
On October 23-25, the NEMA conducted a search operation, which engaged a total of 200 personnel, two helicopters and more than 30 vehicles.
