Working group on Erdenes Tavan Tolgoi stock trading established
A working group was established in connection with stock trading of up to 30 percent of total shares of Erdenes Tavan Tolgoi JSC at domestic and foreign stock exchanges. Minister of Mining and Heavy Industry D.Sumiyabazar will lead the working group.

Athletes set goal to win at least six medals at Tokyo Olympics
The National Committee for the Olympic Games Preparation headed by Prime Minister U.Khurelsukh convened on July 9 and approved its rules and 2018 action plan.

‘Tavan Tolgoi Railway’ company established
During the Cabinet’s regular meeting on July 9, it was decided to establish the Tavan Tolgoi Railway company with at least 51 percent of state ownership. The license and investment for construction of the Tavantolgoi-Gashuunsukhait route railway will be transferred from the ‘Mongolian Railway’ to the newly established company.

State orders and titles conferred
On the occasion of the 2227th anniversary of the Statehood, 812th anniversary of the Great Mongol Empire, 107th anniversary of Restoration of Independence, 97th anniversary of the People’s Revolution, 29th anniversary of the Democratic Revolution, and the Mongolian traditional celebration of Naadam festival, President of Mongolia Khaltmaagiin Battulga issued a decree to grant the “Hero of Mongolia”, “People’s” and “Honored” titles, and state orders and medals.

Tourism Ministers Meeting of Mongolia, Russia and China starts
The Third Tourism Ministers Meeting of Mongolia, Russia and China started today, on July 9. Minister of Environment and Tourism of Mongolia N.Tserenbat, relevant officials led by the Mayor of Ulaanbaatar city S.Batbold, over 60 representatives led by the Vice Chairman of China National Tourism Administration Du Jiang and about 20 representatives led by Deputy Head of the Federal Agency for Tourism at the Ministry of Culture of Russia Nikolay Vadimovich Korolev are participating in the two-day meeting.

The Government of Mongolia opened the three-day Asian Ministerial Conference for Disaster Risk Reduction (AMCDRR) on July 3. The AMCDRR 2018, organized under the overarching theme ‘Preventing Disaster Risk: Protecting Sustainable Development’, forms the regional platform to share good practices, lessons and experiences in disaster risk management among governments, intergovernmental organizations, regional and international organizations, UN organizations and stakeholder groups.
