Political parties submitting requests to participate in by-election

Ulaanbaatar/MONTSAME/ Political parties are officially applying the General Election Commission of Mongolia (GECM) for registration for by-election in the 42nd constituency of parliamentary election, to be run on October 7, 2018.
As of August 6, five political parties, namely the Mongolia People’s Revolutionary Party, National Party of Labor, Democratic Party, World Mongols’ Party and Truth and Righteousness Party submitted their party resolutions and other related documents to the GECM in accordance with 121st of Law on Election.
Parties and coalitions shall notify their participation to the GECM before August 8, 2018. The GECM set up a Working Group responsible for receiving and scrutinizing documents of the political parties. Within five days after receipt of documents, the GECM will make a decision whether to register the parties and coalition, reported GECM on August 6.
